Printmaking WORKSHOPS

We run printmaking workshops in a variety of processes, including etching, linocut, monoprint and letterpress. We run one-day workshops and weekend courses for beginners through to more in-depth summer courses. All our printmaking tutors are experienced and are practising artists and designers.

We also offer one-to-one printmaking tuition for those who wish to learn a particular print process or just want a more tailored approach. Please contact us if you would like to book a one-to-one session (£35 an hour plus materials, min. 2 hours).

Our printmaking workshops are designed to give you the skills to continue making prints independently and to inspire you to try new techniques.

Introduction to Linocut workshop (one day)

10am - 4.30pm
£90 / £75 student or low income

In this one day workshop you will learn how to plan, carve and print a linocut in black and white. Nick will show you how to carve interesting marks, plan your design, create a registration template, and print by hand and on a press. Suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience.

Experimental Linocut workshop (weekend)

£200 / £160 full-time student

In this weekend workshop you will explore experimental approaches to linocut. Taking a playful approach, you will discover new ways to carve, ink and print. Participants should come with an open mind about what they will produce during the workshop.
